David Monk is a Director at Home Construction, bringing a portfolio career spent building and leading purpose-driven organisations to the company's mission of building strong, resilient communities.
He has held senior leadership and governance roles across the wider Home Foundation group, including Director at Home Capital Partners, Director-Chair at Te Wawata Kāinga, and Trustee-Chair at both Kāinga Maha and the Aotearoa Land and Housing Trust, alongside his own coaching and consulting practice, Ready Think Go. Before moving into housing and community development, David spent over a decade in general management, finance, and events roles.
David holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business (Dean's Merit List), a Bachelor of Science in Statistics, Mathematics and Computer Science from Victoria University of Wellington, and governance training through the Institute of Directors of New Zealand, and is currently completing a Diploma in Applied Psychology at the University of Auckland.
Outside of work, David stays active, connects with those he cares about, and contributes positively through personal coaching, creative pursuits, and spending time in nature.
