Senior Quantity Surveyor Yolandi Thornton brings over 10 years' experience in commercial and high-end residential projects to Home Construction.
Known for her strong commercial acumen and quality focus, she manages high-pressure situations with a proactive, organised approach, building strong client relationships along the way.
Her career spans New Zealand and southern Africa, including cost administration and quantity surveying on major infrastructure and construction projects in Mozambique and South Africa worth up to NZD 73 million, project coordination and compliance work in Auckland, and quantity surveying on commercial retail and residential projects in Wanaka.
Yolandi is a Student Member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors and is currently completing a New Zealand Diploma in Construction, with strands in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, through Open Polytechnic.
Outside of work, Yolandi is a devoted mother of three and a self-described sports fanatic who never misses a big rugby game. She also enjoys social netball, walking trails, and a good book.
