From planning to handover, our Project and Operations Managers keep our builds moving—solving problems, staying close to site, and delivering quality homes on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Michael is a Senior Project Manager specialising in high-density residential construction, focused on delivering affordable homes across Aotearoa. He holds a Bachelor of Business in Innovation and Enterprise and a Level 4 Carpentry qualification, combining practical skills with business insight to lead complex projects.

At Home Construction, Michael works closely with build partners to ensure projects are delivered collaboratively and efficiently. He is passionate about driving a culture shift in the construction industry—embracing teamwork and a positive mindset to improve how homes are built.

One of Michael’s proudest achievements is managing the construction of Kia Koa Te Whenua. By turning the owner’s vision into a welcoming office, he demonstrated his commitment to creating spaces that truly feel like home, reflecting his dedication to meaningful construction.

Gordon brings extensive construction experience from the UK and New Zealand, with qualifications in site carpentry, tiling, flooring, residential development, construction management, and workplace health and safety. His career has progressed from hands-on trade roles to leadership positions including Foreman, Site Manager, Project Manager, and now Senior Project Manager.

At Home Construction, Gordon drives project success through strong communication, collaboration, planning, and technical expertise. He is known for his disciplined, resourceful approach and commitment to quality and best practices throughout the build process.

Isa is an experienced Project Manager with a strong record of delivering over 20 construction projects on time and within budget. She specialises in high-density builds, commercial conversions, and diverse residential types. Skilled in pre-construction planning, contractor coordination, and site optimisation, Isa combines strategic oversight with practical problem-solving to ensure quality outcomes across every stage of the build.

Project Manager

David brings over 25 years’ construction experience to Home Construction. His background spans cabinetmaking, joinery, shopfitting, commercial fit-outs, project management, and construction programming. He holds a NZ Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 3), is a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), and certified in first aid, strengthening his leadership in construction delivery.

At Home Construction, David leads the construction delivery team, overseeing cultural leadership, team management, training, health and safety, quality, financial management, and project reporting. He ensures projects meet the highest standards.

David most enjoys supporting people and helping his team grow. He’s proud to have mentored a young woman into a confident business owner and led the delivery of a multi award-winning, 28-unit architecturally designed development.

Marvin has a strong foundation in construction management, holding a Master’s in Engineering Project Management, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, and registration as a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP). His strengths include project planning, risk management, and cross-functional leadership in complex construction settings.

At Home Construction, Marvin leads operational project delivery across the North Island, ensuring builds are on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. He collaborates closely with teams to align project execution with strategic goals.

Marvin enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving, identifying challenges early, and working with clients and stakeholders to find practical solutions. He’s proud of progressing from Project Coordinator to Operational Delivery Lead, gaining deep role knowledge and leadership skills to drive project success.

I hold a Bachelor of Architecture and Future Environments from Auckland University of Technology, with a minor in space, image, and sound within Architecture. My studies focused on Te Aranga Māori design principles, which gave me a strong understanding of ecological thinking and Mātauranga Māori, and the role these values play in creating sustainable and culturally grounded environments. My passion for architecture stems from a deep appreciation for art, design, and the impact of the built environment. As Project Coordinator at Home Construction in Auckland, I support project managers and the wider delivery team to ensure seamless project execution. My role involves coordinating teams, managing information flow, and maintaining alignment across multiple workstreams. I take pride in helping projects stay organised, efficient, and on track. A professional highlight includes my involvement in a project at Pataua North, where I contributed to the design of a holiday home incorporating recycled materials sourced from across New Zealand.

Jacques brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent a decade in the construction industry across various client and contracting positions. Originally from South Africa, Jacques has a background in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics.

He is motivated by helping the company secure projects that create lasting work security for staff, while also ensuring high-quality housing outcomes. Karl is particularly proud of his contribution to multi-unit housing developments, which have provided many New Zealanders with warm, dry homes.

Scott is a health and safety specialist with nearly 30 years’ experience in construction management and safety leadership. Holding a diploma in civil engineering and a degree in construction management, he combines technical expertise with practical insight.

As Health and Safety Lead at Home Construction, Scott works closely with site teams and Build Partners to ensure safe, smooth operations. He develops Site Specific Safety Plans, delivers training, reviews partner safety plans, and conducts inspections. He enjoys helping Build Partners improve their health and safety understanding and raising standards.

Scott is proud of transforming a previously underperforming branch’s safety culture into a company-wide benchmark by securing buy-in and introducing practical initiatives, demonstrating his expertise and leadership.

Karla brings specialist expertise in financial accounts, reporting, and payroll, supported by a Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting and membership with CPA Australia. She focuses on accuracy and efficiency to keep financial operations running smoothly across multiple entities.

At Home Construction, Karla leads the Finance Support team, manages period-end processes, handles fortnightly payroll, and oversees financial accounts for related group entities.

Karla enjoys the constant learning and problem-solving her role offers. She’s proud to have led a systems implementation that reduced admin, cut paper trails, and improved accuracy and efficiency across the business.

Maddie leads brand and communications across all Home Foundation entities. She develops strategies, manages digital channels, and ensures messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with the organisation’s mission. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, which supports her creative and considered approach to communication.

Maddie feels lucky to work with a team that’s driven to make a real difference. It’s a big task, but one the team takes on with boldness and compassion. Being part of that mahi is both inspiring and energising.

Outside of work, Maddie prioritises slowing down and connecting with what matters—spending time with family, swimming in the ocean, dancing with friends, gardening, photography, singing in a community choir, and adventuring with her rescue greyhound.

What Cassidy values most is knowing her work makes a real difference. She’s especially proud of editing a handbook for new residents in Ōpōtiki, helping them feel prepared and welcome as they move into their homes.

Outside of work, Cassidy stays balanced by focusing on health and wellbeing—whether that’s going for a walk, doing a workout, or baking for friends and family.
