Gordon McFarland

Senior Project Manager

Gordon McFarland

Gordon (Gordy) McFarland has spent over a decade building his way up through Home Construction, from Site Foreman to Senior Project Manager, bringing UK and New Zealand construction experience spanning trades, development, and leadership to every project he runs.

Gordon started out in the trades in Northern Ireland, carpet and vinyl fitting, carpentry, and wall and floor tiling, before qualifying in Site Carpentry (City & Guilds Level 2) and running his own construction business as a UK land and property developer for around seven years. Since moving to New Zealand, he has progressed from Site Foreman through Site Manager, Project Manager, and Project Delivery Lead to Senior Project Manager, all within Home Construction, over more than 12 years. Achieving Senior Project Manager status is, in his own words, his proudest professional accomplishment to date.

He holds a Licensed Building Practitioner qualification, a New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice, and Procore certifications across project management, core tools, and quality and safety.

When Gordy is not at work, you'll find him spending time with family and friends. He is an active student of Kung Fu and have recently taken up hunting, enjoying both the challenge and the opportunity to get outdoors and learn new skills.
